A world-class cultural experience awaits your group. One of Canada’s finest galleries, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery provides an ideal venue to experience an international art collection. It is centrally located downtown on the banks of the St. John River and across the street from the Fredericton Convention Centre. A gift to the people of New Brunswick from Lord Beaverbrook (Sir Max Aitken), the Beaverbrook Art Gallery houses a major collection of Canadian, British and international masterworks spanning several centuries, including some of Atlantic Canada’s finest artists. The Gallery also hosts temporary and touring exhibitions from across Canada and around the world.
The Gallery can accommodate reception, lecture, and banquet events for groups ranging in size from 20 to 350 guests. For presentations, some audio-visual equipment is available. The Gallery is licensed to provide bar services, and can work with a variety of caterers in the city. Docent-led tours of the exhibitions can be included with events, or as a stand-alone activity. Attached via breezeway to the Fredericton Convention Centre, and side-by-side on Queen Street, The Playhouse is Fredericton’s premiere live performance venue. This soft-seat theatre has 709 seats (469 orchestra and 240 balcony).
The stage and auditorium are equipped with state-of -the-art sound, lighting, video, and fly technology, and the technical and patron services teams are ready to make your event the best it can be.
In addition to the main stage and auditorium, the rehearsal hall (43’ x 31’), and East and West galleries (45’ x 16’) are also available for rent.
